	Elizabeth Hightower
	Front Office Administrator
	Elizabeth Hightower started working in dentistry in 1998 after retiring from the telephone company with 30 years of service. She moved to Durham in 2004 where she worked briefly in a medical office supporting six doctors and a staff of over 30. She came to this practice in January 2005 as the Office Administrator where her primary focus is insurance billing and collections. Elizabeth has two grown children and one grandson. She was born and raised in Colorado where she also served in the Army National Guard for over 23 years, retiring in 2003.

	Carolyn Schulman
	Front Office Assistant
	Carolyn moved to Durham, NC in 2000 from Baltimore, where she started her dental career as an Insurance Coordinator. She has been with Dr. Nelson since he took over the practice from Dr. Bregman in the fall of 2006. Carolyn enjoys her daily interactions with dental patients as a scheduling coordinator. She is a native of the Boston area and resides in Rougemont, NC with her four dogs and husband Lewis.

Lisa Torkewitz, CDA

Lisa is married and has two wonderful children. Lisa’s family enjoys trips to the beach and mountains. Lisa’s son, Bobby, is involved with cub scouts, baseball and gymnastics. Her daughter, Allison, does tumble bus and dance. Lisa’s husband, Bob, is a carpenter and he is also assistant coach for Bobby’s baseball teams. Lisa has been a chairside dental assistant for about eight years. During this time, she has worked in different offices with a variety of dental materials. Lisa graduated from Alamance Community College in June of 2001 and earned her CDA in October of 2002. Lisa has been a member of our dental team since December of 2006. Lisa carries the title of Certified Dental Assistant, but feels that she is the all around support person for the office. Lisa looks forward to caring for your dental needs in the near future.

	Summer A. Davis, DA II
	Summer graduated from UNC Chapel Hill Dental Assisting Program in May 2007. She is the newest and youngest (she obviously wrote this) member of our team. She grew up in Mebane, NC and now resides in Graham with her fiancée. When she is not at work, Summer enjoys riding four-wheelers and traveling.

	Hanne Weidmann, RDH
	Hanne Weidmann was born and raised in Germany and came to North Carolina in 1984. She graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at UNC Chapel Hill in 1992. Since then she has been a member of our practice. Hanne resides with her two and four-legged family in Chatham County.

Terri Irick, RDH

Terri is a 2001 graduate of El Paso Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene. She began her career in a general private practice for two years in El Paso, TX. In December of 2002 she decided to move to North Carolina to be closer to family. She became licensed in January of 2003 and has been working full time as a hygienist at this practice for six years. Terri lives in Durham with her 5 year old Yorkie, Koko Chanelle.
